I'm trying to re-install flash since mine stopped working a couple of weeks ago. When prompted I click on run. The computer asks me if I reallly want to and I click yes. Then a message comes up to ask if I want to allow the application access. I click yes. Computer makes a lot of noice for a time but nothing else happens. I checked to see if it "just did it" but no. So then I tried doing it again, but instead of clicking run, I clicked save. Once it is saved to my download folder, I click on it. Computer asks to allow permission again. Nothing happens here. What am I missing?

I recently bought Bioshock and it said I need steam so I downloaded it and it keeps saying "Main Exeption: in order to run ($$$#0#$$$) you must first connect to the internet." how am i supposed to go about getting that fixed?
